You might have noticed a Green Flag flying in the grounds of Millbrook Park (or Coronation Park).
The park has been awarded Green Flag status by Keep Britain Tidy. The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces. The award is given to parks that are managed to have a positive impact on the environment, locally and globally, both now and for the future.
They aim to minimise energy and resource consumption and waste, and design in benefits to the local and global environment. Features in Millbrook Park include pollinator patches which are part of the pan-Channel Island Pollinator Project
The Parks and Gardens team are working towards converting all our parks to organic growing techniques by 2022 as part of a re-design and re-orientation process.
